Kim Spivey

Signed Mississippi Valley State University

Texas Fusion Gold Kim Spivey has committed to play softball at Mississippi Valley State. Kim has played for us for many years and has had to carry the load for a long time when we where all with the 91 Texas Elite. Kim has helped her teams qualify for ASA Nationals in 2002 2004 5th place 2005 2006 5th place 2007. Kim has always had the ability to rise to the level of competition and I can assure you that she will do the exact same thing in college. When we took 5th place at 12U ASA Nationals in Moline IL she pitched every inning of every game. We went 5-2 that summer we lost on Saturday morning to the Atlanta Vipers in ITB. We had to play 4 7 inning games following that tough loss to come back on Sunday. Kim pitched great that day and beat some of the Nations best teams to get us back on Sunday and to eventually finish 5th. She helped us get 5th again in 2006 at 14U ASA Nationals in Johnson City TN. We lost our 2nd game to the eventual 2nd place team The Next Level but with Kim and Rayn House we had to battle back all week winning 8 games in a row to finish with a record of 9-2 losing again to the Next Level at 9pm on Saturday night. She once again pitched against some of the best teams in the Nation and pitched one of the best games I have ever been a part of on the Saturday night as we beat Tom Dodds San Diego Thunder 2-1 to give us our top 5 finish.

Kim has spent countless hours over the years with pitching instructor Mark Braddock in her backyard and working with Stephanie. She has pitched more innings for us then any pitcher and has never complained one time about being tired sore or when she didnt have a great performance. She is very modest and humble in her approach to the game and some people misinterpret that as a lack of passion but trust me she has a great amount of passion and desire to be the absolute best that she can be. She is very excited and is looking forward to playing softball of the University of Mississippi Valley State all of her experience of playing the best teams in the country each summer will pay off for the MSVU Delta Devils

Congratulations Kim we are very proud of you
